Greenville Agency Builds Film Studio
Evolve, Inc. now Eastern N.C.’s First Full-Service Advertising Agency

Greenville, N.C., April 2, 2008 - Evolve, Inc. completed construction of Greenville’s first professional film studio. With the addition of video production services, Evolve is now Eastern North Carolina’s first and only full-service advertising agency to offer film production in-house.

The new studio and edit facility will offer traditional production services, and will function as the centerpiece for Evolve’s efforts to bring rich media to its web clients. With the studio and new cutting edge digital editing technology, Evolve can create the kinds of interactive web experiences that consumers demand.

“Advertising has to change with the needs of the businesses it serves,” notes Will Daugherty, president of Evolve, Inc. “Companies look for integrated marketing solutions and need them to be fast, consistent and cost-effective. The web is often the first experience new customers have with a company’s brand, so the quality of that experience has to be carefully managed. Built as an addition to the interactive and graphic design group, the studio places all of Evolve’s design resources under one roof. This model of integration improves speed of production and ensures consistent delivery of all media for clients who want the full-spectrum of advertising and marketing. Divided into two distinct areas, the studio includes a 34 x 12 ft. curved green screen for shooting full-height special effects and keyed footage such as that used in their work for CutterCreek.com. The other side of the studio is an L-shaped 25 x 25 x 12 ft. white stage that offers a controlled white backdrop for film and video and photography. The white stage is large enough to photograph cars and industrial equipment such as forklifts. With a permanent lighting grid in place for both sides of the studio, set-ups are quick and easy. The studio also includes equipment for building sets and features a large roll door and loading dock for easy access.

A new edit suite allows editors and designers to work with powerful digital hardware and software to work their creative magic and turn out everything from broadcast commercials and training DVDs to documentaries and interactive video for the web. And that exciting interactive video is the main reason Evolve decided to bring video production in-house. Interactive video on the web allows consumers to connect in new and meaningful ways with the businesses they seek, and is a powerful tool for telling the story of any brand.

When Waterford Place (WaterfordPlaceNC.com) set out to create a new website, it became clear that a traditional brochure style website couldn’t provide the type of immersive experience that would really excite potential tenants.
